Running DVBStreamExplorer for the first time

Driver selection

When you run DVBStreamExplorer after installing it for the first time, the dialog below prompting you to select a driver for your DVB device.

Select a driver matching your DVB decice. Your DVB device may not be explicitly listed. Many DVB devices are sold under different brand names. So even though your devices is not explicitly listed you might find a driver for a device compatible with your device.

Note

If you uncheck 'Always select device on startup', the driver selection dialog box is only shown once. You can activate it from Device - driver selection if you want to change the driver later on.

If the application fails to initialize the device for the selected driver the application will exit without showing the main window. The driver selection dialog box will be shown again next time the application is launched.

Configuring satellite list/LNB/DiSEqC settings (DVB-S users only)

If your DVB device is for satellite reception (DVB-S) you will need to configure satellites, DiSEqC and LNB settings before you can use the application.

Satellite Configuration

You will need to configure the satellite list in DVB-S MUX list before you can use the application.

DiSEqC and LNB Configuration

You must configure DiSEqC and LNB for the configured satellites before you can use the application. The exact details depend on your device. Refer to Drivers section for details.

Configuring DVB-T MUX list (DVB-T users only)

You can optionally configure a DVB-T MUX list in DVB-T MUX list.

Note

A DVB-T MUX list is required if you want to use Multiple DVB-T MUX scanning feature.

Configuring DVB-C MUX list (DVB-C users only)

You can optionally configure a DVB-C MUX list in DVB-C MUX list.
