DVB-S MUX list

This section only applies for DVB-S users. You can skip this section if you are using a DVB-C or DVB-T device.

The satellite list manager manages the satellites and transponders available for SI scanning and in tuning dialog box. The satellite list manager main dialog box is shown below.

Note

Before you can use the application, you must configure at least one satellite here.

Adding a new satellite

Enter the name of the new satellite, i.e. 'Astra 28E' (without quotes) and press Add satellite button. This will add the satellite to the list. To edit the properties of the added satellite follow instructions in Editing existing satellite.

Note

After adding one or more satellites, these must be configured with regards to LNB/DiSEqC.

Editing existing satellite

To edit a satellite double-click on the satellite to edit in the satellite list. This will open the transponder list dialog.

The transponder list dialog is shown below.

In the transponder list dialog you can:

  • Add transponders

  • Delete transponders

Adding transponder

To add a transponder fill in the parameters in the dialog and press Add button. NID and TSID should be the values for the transport stream on the transponder. You don't have to enter the correct values, since these will be corrected when you run NIT update/cleanup. It is however important to enter a unique combination not already in the list.

Deleting transponder

To delete one or more transponders select the transponder(s) in the list and press delete button.

Editing transponder

To edit an existing transponder click on to select it. Edit the required parameters and press Add/update button.

Note

If the NID and/or TSID values are changed this will add a new transponder or change an existing transponder other than the selected one.

Importing satellite settings

This will allow you to import transponder INI files. The software that came bundled with your device might include transponder INI files. Otherwise transponder INI files can be downloaded from various sources.

Press browse button and navigate to folder containing transponder INI files. Now you should get a list of satellites. Select the satellites you want to import and press import button.

Note

After importing one or more satellites, these must be configured with regards to LNB/DiSEqC before they can be used by the application.

Note

It is recommended to run a session after import.

Exporting satellite settings

This will allow you to export satellite/transponder settings to transponder INI files.

Use browse button to navigate to folder where exported files should be saved. Select the satellites to be exporter and press export button.

Note

Export will possibly overwrite existing files in selected folder.

NIT update/cleanup

This operation will perform following tasks:

  • NIT Update, finding new transponders from NIT in transponders already in list.

  • Correct NID/TSID, making sure that NID and TSID values in transponders are correct.

  • Remove dead transponders, removing transponders from list that cannot be tuned on.

Select the satellites on which you want to perform the operations and select the required operation(s) and press start button.

This can be a lengthy operation.
